Dimensions
Our round steel forgings are available in a wide range of diameters, starting from 20 mm and going up to 500 mm. The length of the forgings can be customized according to customer requirements, with standard lengths ranging from 1000 mm to 6000 mm. We can also produce non – standard lengths upon request.
Mechanical Properties
The mechanical properties of our round steel forgings are outstanding. The minimum tensile strength typically ranges from 500 to 1200 MPa, depending on the alloy and heat treatment. The yield strength is in the range of 300 – 800 MPa. The elongation percentage, which indicates the material’s ductility, is usually between 15 – 30%. These mechanical properties make our forgings suitable for the most demanding applications.
Forged Round Bar & Forging Methods
- Hot Forging: In the hot forging process, the raw material is heated to a high temperature within its recrystallization range. This makes the metal more malleable, allowing us to shape it into the desired piston rod form using forging hammers or presses. Hot forging is ideal for large – scale production and can produce parts with excellent mechanical properties.
- Cold Forging: Cold forging is carried out at room temperature, which results in a better surface finish and closer dimensional tolerances compared to hot forging. This method is suitable for producing small – to – medium – sized piston rods with high – precision requirements. We use advanced cold – forging presses and dies to ensure consistent quality.

For heat treatment, we can perform processes such as annealing, quenching, and tempering. Annealing is used to improve the material’s machinability by reducing hardness, while quenching and tempering can increase the strength and toughness.
For corrosion protection, we provide galvanization services. Hot – dip galvanizing creates a thick, durable zinc coating that can protect the steel from rust for years.
Additionally, we can apply various types of paint coatings, such as epoxy – based paints, which offer excellent chemical resistance and a smooth finish.
